A southeast Memphis company is looking for an experienced Accountant or a recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree in Accounting.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

  • Thorough knowledge of all general accounting principles.

  • Must be a team player and personable with clients and co-workers.

  • Experience with General Ledger is required.

  • Very strong Excel skills, with knowledge of Formulas, Filters and Pivot Tables.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform all aspects of accounting operations.

  • Will run financial statements and be in charge of Month End.

 

Will be tested in general accounting and bookkeeping

 

Salary: $40K-50K DOE

Hours:  Monday – Friday, 8 – 5

Electrical Engineer

A large utility company in North Mississippi has an immediate opening for an direct hire Electrical Engineer.

Requirements: 

  • Must be a motivated, self-starter, capable of planning, designing and preparing specifications to meet the cooperative's needs. 
  • Must have a good understanding of automated technologies, excellent computer and software skills, and know how to apply them daily. 
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in an electric utility or consulting firm performing related engineering work.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Option Preferred) and must be a Registered Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Position will review information from monthly substation readings, SCADA system and AMR system to make reliability recommendations to management. 
  • Will assist in companies long-range plan, construction work plan and geographical information system by working closely with employees and consulting engineers. 
  • Will monitor the performance of the distribution system and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Will also be responsible for plans and studies related to sectionalizing over current protection, device coordination, over voltage protection, voltage improvement, power factor correction, load balancing, and overall system reliability.

 

**Company provides medical and dental insurance, pension, 401K plan, life insurance, long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, etc.

 

Salary: $80K - $100K

A company in DeSoto County has an immediate opening for an Payroll Processing Clerk.  This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Requirements:

  • Previous high volume payroll experience is required.
  • Must have excellent skills using ADP payroll system—Pay Expert level required.
  • Multi-state payroll experience a plus.
  • Must be extremely organized, flexible, and production oriented.
  • Must also have a very high level of computer/internet proficiency. 
  • Advanced skills in both Microsoft Word and Excel are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for processing 6 payrolls for 25 different locations.
  • Must calculate hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees.
  • Must prepare weekly management reports of production time and overtime, process daily A/R collections, calculate monthly commission payroll, and process employee purchases. 
  • Must also publish a daily employee ranking report, maintain lease files and keep updated lease renewal notification information.
  • Will be in charge of approving and ordering office supplies for all locations from the main office.

Will be tested in Word and Excel.

 

Salary: $24K - $30K, DOE, plus benefits package
